The hunter is a combination of a fighter and an assassin. He is the one
responsible for bringing down all the creatures that threaten to destroy the
local town or kingdom. They are also hired to bring in who ever is going against
the local laws, and none of the normal guard can accomplish the task. They are
one who is held with great respect for their skills, and in fear by many people
for their skill and what they do with that skill. A well established hunter can
earn a fortune for, to them, what seems like a small task.
The hunter is often seen as a rough person. They often live in the woods by
themselves. Their personal belongings are often limited to what they need to do
the job. And often they have well displayed trophies of all they kill. No matter
what race it belongs to. They are one of the few who can get by the kings laws
without facing the penalties of the king. But yet they never put themselves
above the kings laws.
The hunter is trained in tracking as well as any ranger. When choosing
weapons, the hunter must pick at first: long sword, long bow, dagger, and the
spear. The hunter must be of either human or half-elf. The hunter must be of
lawful or neutral alignments, and can not be of an evil alignment. They can not
wear any armor better than chain mail. The hunter fights off of the fighters
table, and their saving throws are off of the thief table. If the hunter hits
with four of better than what is required to hit with a bow, they get an
automatic kill. If they hit with a six or better with a hand held weapon, then
they get an automatic kill. No bonuses to hit count when figuring an automatic
kill.
They also get the following abilities:
